I have wagered on millions of hands of blackjack. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have wagered on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of funds at vingt-et-un. The gambling dens have made it nearly impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years ago with $750 after 60 mins using this method! And a few weeks ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be amazed at the runs you see playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $5 wager
Bet 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 1 hundred and 60 dollar bet
If you departed at this moment you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
