If you find the only way that you can enjoy the crazy ride is with a larger bet, then jump on for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high-stakes gambler will love the view from the monster roller coaster because they are not considering the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few bettors adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is awesome, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
